CTorrent Control Server This is a port of CTCS for the NSLU2. This README file only covers details from this port. For the original instructions, see the readme.txt file. It is also a good idea to take a look at the web page at http://www.rahul.net/dholmes/ctorrent/ctcs.html and the nslu2-linux wiki page at http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Unslung/CTCS. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- CONFIGURATION FILE This package installs a configuration file, /opt/etc/ctcs.conf, where you can change the options used by the init script to start the server (see below). A list of options is available in the readme.txt file, or at the wiki page at http://www.nslu2-linux.org/wiki/Unslung/CTCS. CTCS writes messages to the console, something unappropriate for a server running in the background. If you want to log the output, then change the log destination at the conf file. By default, all output is simply discarded to /dev/null. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- INIT SCRIPT This package installs a init script at /opt/etc/init.d/S90ctcs. The script starts CTCS in the background using the options provided by the /opt/etc/ctcs.conf file. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- SECURITY CTCS has an option ("-P") to prompt for a password when the server starts. This password is then used to authenticate Enhanced CTorrent clients, but not for web browser authentication. If you are using the init script provided by the package, you will *not* be able to use this option, since CTCS will be started from the init script with no user intervention.
